Support
Body Metrics is built and supported by one person. I read every email and answer as quickly as I can.
Contact
Email: mrnickapps@gmail.com
Response time: usually within 24–48 hours.
When you write in, it helps a lot if you include:
- Your device (e.g. iPhone 15, Pixel 8)
- Your OS version (Settings → About)
- The app version (see Settings inside BodyMetrics)
- What you were trying to do and what happened instead
Common issues
Does it sync with Apple Health or Google Health Connect?
No, Body Metrics is manual-entry only. Data is not read from or written to Apple Health, Google Health Connect, or any connected scale or device. This is intentional — the app is designed for people who want full control over what gets logged.
How does Bloodwork work?
Bloodwork is an optional feature you can turn on in Settings. When enabled, you can log blood test markers with their values, units, draw dates, and custom reference ranges. You can also set an optional reminder for your next blood test. Bloodwork data is stored the same way as your measurements — securely, tied to your account.
My measurements don't sync between devices
Make sure you're signed in with the same email on both devices. Sync happens automatically when you have an internet connection.
My Pro purchase isn't recognized
Open the app's Settings and tap "Restore Purchases." If that doesn't work, email support with the store you purchased on (App Store or Google Play) and I'll sort it out.
Body fat percentage looks wrong
The US Navy body fat calculation uses your waist, neck (and hips for female users) plus your height. Small measurement errors propagate — check that you measured at the right anatomical landmarks. The HOW TO MEASURE guide inside the app has illustrations for each measurement.
Weekly reminder isn't showing up
Check that notifications are enabled for Body Metrics in your device settings, and that "Do Not Disturb" or a Focus mode isn't suppressing them.
I lost my data after reinstalling
Body Metrics requires an account, so your data syncs to the cloud and is safe if you reinstall. Just sign back in with your email and password — everything will be there.
Reporting a bug or suggesting a feature
Email away. I keep a real list and prioritize based on what real users ask for.
